Evaluations help solve the puzzle of how individuals learn best
Marsha Seff is a licensed and nationally certified school psychologist (NCSP). Ms. Seff obtained her B.S. in Exceptional Education from the University of Michigan and her Masters in Psychology from the University of Detroit. She taught severely emotionally handicapped and learning-disabled youngsters in a psychiatric hospital setting for 9 years.


For 10 years, Ms. Seff worked as a school psychologist for Orange County Public Schools. She has worked in private practice since 1995. Ms. Seff loves working with children, adolescents and college students as well as adults to help them discover ways to optimize their learning and success in school or at work. Areas of special interest and expertise include Learning Disabilities, Gifted Education, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).



Ms. Seff provides comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations including assessment of the following areas as warranted by the referral question(s):

  • Specific Learning Disabilities affecting Reading (Dyslexia), Math (Dyscalculia), and Written Language (Dysgraphia)

  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

  • Executive Function Deficits

  • Processing Deficits (Processing Speed, Long/Short Term Memory, Working Memory, Phonological Processing, Visual Motor Integration, Visual Processing, Auditory Processing)

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder

  • Gifted Education

  • Eligibility for accommodations on standardized testing, i.e., PSAT, SAT, ACT, AP Exams, LSAT, MCAT

  • Behavioral/Emotional/Mood Concerns (MMPI administration is available)




Following the scoring, integration and interpretation of assessment results, Ms. Seff meets with the parents or older students to share findings and answer questions. There is also a written psychological report provided, which includes a summary of these findings as well as extensive individualized recommendations for accommodations and/or intervention strategies for the classroom and at home. Accommodations may be implemented into a 504 Plan or Individualized Education Plan (IEP) as needed.
